PRI AI Advisory

We help boards and technology leaders decide what to do about AI, cyber and technology spend — then PRI Technology staffs the decision.

You set the direction. We diagnose before we prescribe, write the recommendation in language your board can act on, and stay accountable for what happens next.

We staff what we recommend.

01 / 08Positioning

What is PRI AI Advisory?

The advisory practice of an IT staffing firm. That combination is the entire point.

PRI AI Advisory is the advisory practice of PRI Technology, the information-technology division of Perennial Resources International. It advises boards, CIOs and executive teams on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, technology strategy and the workforce required to run them. Engagements begin with a diagnosis rather than a proposal: what is already running, what it costs, what the exposure is, and which decisions are genuinely reversible. The output is written for the people who approve budgets, not for a technology audience. What separates the practice from an independent advisory firm is the parent business. PRI Technology recruits in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and governance, cloud, data engineering, architecture and executive technology management. So a recommendation that requires people is not the end of the engagement — the same firm can source them, permanently or on contract. We staff what we recommend.

02 / 08Trigger situations

When do companies call us?

Five situations account for most first conversations. None of them start with a technology question.
  • The board wants an AI answer

A director asked what the company is doing about AI. The honest answer is "several things, none of them measured", and that will not survive the next meeting.

  • The risk picture has holes

Nobody can say what would actually be lost in an incident, which means nobody can say whether the security spend is right.

  • No senior technology voice

The seat is empty, or it is filled by whoever has been there longest. Decisions with seven-figure consequences are being made informally.

  • The programme is off the rails

Behind, over budget, or both — and each status update explains it differently. You need an independent read before you commit more.

  • Spend up, return unclear

Cloud, licences and AI tooling keep climbing. Finance can see the invoices. Nobody can attribute them to an outcome.

  • The plan implies people you do not have

The strategy is approved. The roles it requires have not been costed, sequenced, or checked against what the market actually charges.

03 / 08Differentiators

Why PRI Advisory?

Three things, and we will be specific about each.
  1. 01

    Diagnosis before prescription

No engagement starts with a solution. The first phase establishes what is running, what it costs and where the risk actually sits. If the finding is that you should keep what you have and change how you run it, that is what we write — there is nothing on our side that depends on you buying more.

  2. 02

Written for the people who decide

Findings arrive as a board-ready diagnosis: what we found, the options, the recommendation, and the consequence of doing nothing. In plain language, short enough to be read before the meeting rather than tabled at it. Technical detail sits in the appendix, where it belongs.

  3. 03

    The bench behind the advice

PRI Technology is a full-service IT staff-augmentation and executive search firm: application development, infrastructure, data, cloud, cybersecurity and GRC, and executive technology management. When a recommendation needs people, the same firm can source them. Advice we cannot staff is advice we are careful about giving.

04 / 08Practice areas

What do we advise on?

Five practices. Each one has its own page, because a practice you cannot link to in a proposal is a practice nobody reads.

05 / 08Engagement model

How does an engagement work?

Four steps. The first one is free and the last one is optional.
  1. 01

    Discovery call

You describe the situation. We tell you whether we are the right people for it, and say so when we are not. No deck, no discovery questionnaire.

  2. 02

    Rapid assessment

A bounded, fixed-scope review of the decision in front of you — what exists, what it costs, what the exposure is, and which constraints are real. Scope and price are agreed before it starts.

  3. 03

    Board-ready diagnosis

Findings, options, a recommendation and the cost of inaction, written for the people who approve the budget. You own the document and can circulate it without us in the room.

  4. 04

    Execution, or a clean hand-off

We stay on as advisers, staff the roles the plan requires through PRI Technology, or hand off to your team and step away. Your choice, and it is made after the diagnosis, not before it.

06 / 08Sector experience

Where does PRI already work?

Advisory is new. The firm behind it is not — PRI Technology has a documented staffing track record across these sectors.
  • Banking & Brokerage
  • Asset & Investment Management
  • Insurance
  • Energy & Utilities
  • Media
  • Consumer Product Goods
  • Retail
  • Managed Service Providers
  • Real Estate
  • Telecommunications
  • Not-for-Profit
  • Defense Contractors
  • Manufacturing & Distribution

07 / 08Practitioners

Who you work with

A small practice, deliberately. No delivery pyramid — the person on the discovery call is the person on the engagement.

Common questions

We staff what we recommend.

PRI AI Advisory is the advisory practice of PRI Technology, the information-technology division of Perennial Resources International. It advises boards, CIOs and executive teams on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, technology strategy and the workforce needed to run them. Because the parent firm is an IT staffing business, the practice can also supply the people who execute what it recommends.

Staffing answers "who do we hire". Advisory answers "what should we do, and does it require hiring at all". The two are bought separately and delivered by different people. They connect at one point: when a recommendation needs capability you do not have, PRI Technology can source it rather than leaving you to start a vendor search.

Most first conversations start with one of five situations: the board has asked for an AI position the company does not have; the technology risk picture is incomplete; there is no senior technology leader at the table; a programme is behind or over budget; or spend is climbing without an attributable return. A sixth is increasingly common — the approved strategy implies roles that have never been costed.

You describe the situation and we ask questions. At the end you get a straight answer on whether this is work we should do, what a bounded assessment of it would cover, and what it would take to scope. If we are not the right people, we say so on the call rather than proposing something adjacent.

PRI Technology has a documented staffing track record across banking and brokerage, asset and investment management, insurance, energy and utilities, media, consumer product goods, retail, managed service providers, real estate, telecommunications, not-for-profit organisations, defense contractors, and manufacturing and distribution. The advisory practice draws on that sector familiarity.

Yes. PRI Technology recruits across application design and development, infrastructure and support, data management and engineering, architecture and business intelligence, cybersecurity and governance, risk and compliance, project management, cloud, artificial intelligence, and executive technology management including CIO, CTO, CISO and CDO roles. Placements can be contract, contract-to-hire or direct hire.

Start with a conversation, not a proposal.

Tell us what you are dealing with. If it is work we should do, we will tell you what a bounded assessment of it looks like. If it is not, we will tell you that too.
